Work - Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009 Work is the answer. Philosopher Korsaren said: “If you are poor, work. If you are burdened with seemingly unfair responsibilities, work. If you are happy, work. Idleness gives room for doubts and fears. If disappointments come, keep right on working. If sorrow overwhelms you and loved ones seem not true, work. If health is threatened, work. When faith falters and reason fails, just work. When dreams are shattered and hope seems dead, work. Work as if your life were in peril. It really is. No matter what ails you, work. Work faithfully—work with faith. Work is the greatest remedy available for both mental and physical afflictions.” Muhammad Ali said “I hated every minute of training, but I said, “Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.” As the old saying goes…The Idle mind is the devil’s playground…. The idle mind leaves room for doubt and fear. Once doubt and fear enter it is difficult to remove them. Stay busy, don’t listen to yourself, talk to yourself. Stay busy, keep working. Work is the answer. Preparation is the answer. Abraham Lincoln – “if I had five hours to cut down a tree I would spend the first 4 hours sharpening my axe.” Keep sharpening your ax.
