Octopus on Rollerskates - Thursday, October 15th, 2009

We are less then a month away from our first dual.  I can’t wait!  The team is coming along.  The guys are making progress every week.  We are spending a lot of time mastering what our staff feels are the fundamentals of college wrestling.  The fundamentals are the key.

We are talking a lot about choosing to be successful, choosing to be mean, choosing to win, choosing to be focused, choosing to have a great day, and all of that good stuff.  I believe strongly that we will get what we choose to take.  We have so much talent in the room.  As we know it takes much more then talent.  It takes talent, discipline and work ethic.  As John Maxwell says, “talent without discipline is like an octopus on roller skates.”  (or something like that)

Everything is coming together.

It’s snowing outside right now which is a little crazy.  This global freezing stuff is intense.

The snow can only mean one thing; we aren’t the only ones ready for wrestling season to begin….the Big Man Upstairs is ready too!
