A good plan violently executed right now is worth a hundred perfect plans put off until next week.    —-General George S. Patton

This is simply awesome.  If anyone knows how to win and how to compete, General Patton, one of the greatest military figures in history, does.  That is how you compete if you are unwilling to not succeed.  ‘Violently execute “your game plan!!

There is always opposition, that doesn’t mean you change courses.  Compete in your areas of strength and do that the entire length of the match.

If you have a hard time getting to your tie up or your position of advantage, be relentless and continue to fight for it.  The better the competition, the longer they will fight for positioning.  Be prepared to fight the whole match.

Do not compromise your game plan out of an unwillingness to work hard and fight.  Executing ‘violently” doesn’t mean you take only what is given or easily conquered.  It means you take what you need and more, to ensure success.

Oh yeah, and have fun.  There is nothing more important than that.  There should be nothing more fun than “violently executing” the game plan and skills you have worked so hard to develop.  Do it with a smile on your face.

“I like a man who grins when he fights.”  –Winston Churchill

Regardless of how you compete, you are developing a reputation.  Develop the kind of reputation that you want.  If you develop the reputation as a competitor who is going to fight and “violently execute” your gameplan that will go a long way.  That reputation will make most opponents surrender position earlier because they know that you will not cease in your effort.   They will be quick to give up because they are not willing to fight that hard.

Plus, that reputation will have most competitors psyched out before the match starts.  They will be tired from worrying about getting tired, before the match even starts.

It’s all fun and games.  Compete hard.
